Ball Merge has no accounts, no sign-up and no server of ours. The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob needs in order to show ads. This page lists all of it.

Who this covers

This policy applies to Ball Merge — Drop Fusion Fun (package com.matinstudios.ballmerge), the Android game published by Matin Studios on Google Play. It does not cover any other app — each of our titles has its own policy, listed on the studio privacy page.

In this document, "we" and "us" mean Matin Studios, and "the game" means Ball Merge — Drop Fusion Fun. "Personal data" means any information that could identify you, on its own or combined with something else.

What we collect

We collect nothing ourselves. There is no sign-up, no account, no profile, no login and no server belonging to us for the game to talk to. We do not receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, messages, calendar or precise location, and we run no analytics and no crash-reporting service.

The game does contain advertising, and advertising is not free of data. The table below is the complete list of what is handled, who handles it, and why.

Data Why Who receives it Linked to you
Advertising ID Lets Google AdMob select and frequency-cap the ads shown in the game. Google AdMob No — a resettable, non-personal device identifier
Device and app information Device model, operating system version, language and app version, so an ad renders correctly. Google AdMob No — anonymous
IP address (approximate location) Used by the ad network to serve region-appropriate ads and to comply with regional law. It gives a country/city-level estimate, never GPS-precise location. Google AdMob No — not stored by us
Ad interactions Whether an ad was shown, viewed or tapped, so the ad network can count impressions. Google AdMob No — anonymous
Game progress and settings Your high score, current board and sound preference, so the game reopens where you left it. Nobody — stays on your device Not applicable

We do not sell any of this, we do not build a profile of you, and none of it ever reaches a system of ours — we have no such system.

Advertising

Ball Merge shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob is the only advertising SDK in the game; there is no mediation with other ad networks. Ads are how a free game with no in-app purchases pays for itself.

Google may use the Advertising ID to show you personalised ads. You are in control of this on your own device, at any time, without uninstalling anything:

  • Settings → Google → All services → Ads — reset your Advertising ID, or turn on Delete advertising ID to stop apps receiving one at all.
  • Opting out does not remove ads from the game; it makes the ones you see non-personalised, chosen from context rather than from any profile.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before any personalised advertising is served, using Google's consent form. You can change that answer later from the game's settings screen, and choosing "do not consent" leaves you with non-personalised ads.

How Google itself handles advertising data is set out in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Who else sees it

The game includes the services below, and no others. Each is governed by its own privacy policy, linked here so you can read it directly.

  • Google AdMob — serves the ads in the game. Privacy policy
  • Google Play Services — distributes and updates the app, and provides the Advertising ID and the consent framework AdMob relies on. Privacy policy

Beyond these, we share data with no one. We do not sell or rent data, and we would only ever disclose information if a valid legal order required it — in which case we would tell you unless legally forbidden from doing so.

Permissions the game asks for

Android only ever grants what the app declares. This is the complete list, with the reason for each.

  • INTERNET — loads ads. The game itself plays offline.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — checks whether you are online before trying to request an ad.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — reads the Advertising ID so AdMob can cap how often you see the same ad. Required by Google Play for any app that uses the ID.

The game asks for no location permission, no camera, no microphone, no contacts and no file access. You can review everything granted in Settings → Apps → Ball Merge → Permissions.

Storage and retention

Your scores, current board and settings are stored on your device only, in the app's private storage. We keep no copy, because there is nowhere for us to keep one. Uninstalling Ball Merge deletes all of it.

If Android's own backup service is switched on for your Google account, your device may include the game's settings in that backup. That copy is held by Google under Google's privacy policy, not by us, and you can turn it off in your device's backup settings.

Data received by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention schedules, which are described in its privacy policy linked above. We have no ability to extend or shorten them.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, data protection law — such as the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA in California — gives you the right to ask what data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used.

We hold nothing about you, so we can answer any such request immediately. What is actually within your control:

  • Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
  • Withdraw or change your advertising consent from the game's settings screen.
  • Uninstall the game to remove everything it has stored on your device.
  • Ask Google directly about data it holds, using the controls in your Google account — it is the controller for the advertising data described above.

If you want to ask us anything else, write to the address below and we will answer within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Ball Merge is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age. The game has no chat, no social features, no user profiles and no in-app purchases.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data through the game, contact us and we will act on it.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes what it does with data, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top moves. Substantial changes will also be noted in the Google Play release notes. We do not quietly rewrite history — the policy in force is the one you can read here.
