What it is
Odia Calendar puts the year’s Odia calendar on your phone: a full calendar page for every month, with festivals and government holidays marked, and a searchable list of all of them. The app speaks Odia first, with English a tap away.
This is the 2027 calendar. Each new year arrives as an update to the same app, so there is nothing new to find and install every January — from mid-December the app asks you to update.
Swipe between months, pinch to zoom into a date, or set this month’s page as your wallpaper.
One list for the whole year. Search it, filter it by type, and tap any festival for the details.
A notification the evening before a festival, on the day, or both. Made on your phone from the list in the app — nothing is sent anywhere to schedule them.
The interface is in Odia, with an in-app switch to English. The Odia font ships with the app, so the text reads properly on any phone.

Questions
An Android phone or tablet on Android 7.0 or later. Odia Calendar is free, and there is no sign-up.
Not for the calendar. Every month’s page and the festival list are built into the app; the connection is only used to load the ad banner and for Google Play’s own update check.
One banner, supplied by Google AdMob. If you are in the EEA or the UK the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your answer in Settings → Privacy options.
None. There is nothing to buy.
They are on by default for festivals and government holidays, the evening before. On Android 13 and later nothing is shown until you allow notifications, which the app asks for from the Festivals tab or Settings — never at launch. Turn them off, or change the timing, in Settings.
The next year’s calendar comes as an update to this same app. From 15 December the app asks you to install it, so January opens on the right year.
