Matin Studios On Google Play

Studio policy

Privacy at Matin Studios

Short version: our apps collect as little as they can get away with, this website collects nothing, and we have never sold data to anyone. The long version is below.

The policy for each app

Google Play requires a privacy policy per app, and rightly so — a puzzle game and a focus timer do not handle data the same way. Each of ours has its own page at a permanent URL:

Where an app policy and this page disagree, the app's own policy wins for that app.

This website

matinstudios.com is a set of static files. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no cookie banner — because there are no cookies to consent to. We do not know who you are or that you visited.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp, user agent) for a short period in order to serve the site and absorb abuse. We do not read them for anything else and we do not combine them with anything.

The site loads one third-party resource: web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.gstatic.com. If you would rather it did not, the fonts can be self-hosted — tell us and we will do it.

When you email us

If you write to hello@matinstudios.com, we keep the email so we can reply and so we remember the conversation if you write again. We do not add you to a mailing list, because we do not have one. Ask us to delete a thread and we will.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent or trade personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
  • Track you across other apps or websites.
  • Ask for a permission an app does not actually need.
  • Require an account to use something that does not need one.
  • Bury a change to a policy and hope nobody notices.

Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR, the CCPA in California, and comparable laws elsewhere, you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, and complain to your national data protection authority.

In most cases our honest answer to "what do you hold about me" is "nothing". Where an app does receive anonymous diagnostics, that data is not connected to you and cannot be looked up by name — its own policy page says so explicitly and explains what you can control.

Contact

Data questions, deletion requests and complaints all go to the same inbox, read by a person:
